We take pride in baking our bread fresh, which may result in the bread arriving with a ‘Best Before’ (BBF) date that is either the day it arrives or the next day. However, there is no need to worry as this does not imply that the bread is expired. In fact, our bread will stay fresh for several days and can be used for toasting even after that. We’ve included some tips below to help with caring for your bread.
The reason many supermarkets and other large retailers are able to have longer best before dates on their products, is due to the improvers and specific ingredients added to their bread to give it a longer life. Our bread contains only simple, necessary ingredients and no preservatives.

Our bread has a ‘best-before’ date given to it, but most of our products will last beyond their ‘best-before’ date if they are stored properly. If you need a little extra time to enjoy it, here are some tips;
Freeze your bread -All our bread is baked fresh without preservatives, which means it can be frozen to enjoy another day.
Storage – Store in paper, never plastic – You can pick up reusable bread bags in Baker Tom shops or local retailers.
Refresh – Pop your loaf in the oven for a few minutes to revive it, splashing it with a little water to give it that ‘just baked’ taste.
